Happy Birthday Jackson Lucas Howe!

We were so thrilled to welcome the most amazing blessing....

born at 8:44 pm on Friday September 14th.

At our OB visit this week, we set up an induction date- Sept 12th (Wednesday) at 41 weeks in case Baby H hadn't arrived by then.


We arrived Wed PM at 7:30 and checked in....

Induction day 2- Thursday

Visiting with the grandparents to be....both my parents (Roy and Betsy) and Mike's parents (Jeff and Sandy) arrived Wed PM.

Induction was long (49.5 hours), but we had the most beautiful blessing at the end of a long 2 days....

3 dear friends expecting 3 sweet babies

Mollie, Macare and I, were all due within 6.5 weeks of each other!  Now only Baby H is left to arrive...

 Blaise Lumbrezer was born on July 21st and Chase Mather was born on August 30th. Now it is your turn baby Howe!!

Surprise Baby Shower at Work

It was so thoughtful of the staff at my office (UM Allergy/Immunology Clinic) to host a surprise baby shower for me and baby H.  It was 6 days before my due date, and I had a big presentation that AM, so had my mind on that and was oblivious to the preparations. I was totally surprised, and it was so sweet of everyone!!

German Park- August 25th

We enjoyed checking out German Park with Dave and Lauren Stewart last weekend. It is a monthly event the last saturday of each month in Ann Arbor in the summer.   Even though I couldn't partake in the German Beer, it still was a good time :)

Mitul and Radha's Wedding in Chicago

We were so excited to celebrate Mitul and Radha's wedding in Chicago last weekend.  Mitul is a dear friend of ours from residency, who is now a Hematology/Oncology Fellow at Northwestern.  This was such a fun celebration, and a great chance to see lots of friends from residency who have moved on to new jobs, fellowships, etc!

After relaxing during the afternoon, playing bocce ball, etc, we got ready for the reception-- but first a little Baby Howe photo shoot.

Grand Rapids (Holland and Grand Haven beach days too!) July 7th and 8th

We had a wonderful weekend visiting GR, Holland and Grand Haven in early July.  We played tour guides for our friends Dave and Lauren, and Kate and Dan.  

We all stayed at the JW Marriot in GR which was really nice.  We headed to Holland on Saturday, complete with a stop at New Holland Brewery and the State Park.  

We headed back to GR and enjoyed dinner at San Chez Bistro, and drinks at Hop Cat (only water for this mama to be!!)

Sunday, we went for a walk around Reeds Lake in GR, complete with a stop at our old favorite Starbucks-  being in east GR brought back so many memories.  We enjoyed brunch at the Electric Cheetah (yum!) and then headed to Grand Haven to spend Sunday afternoon at the beach!

TC Baby Shower- July 14th

Quinn is excited to meet baby Howe, and hopefully so is her new baby brother-  Welcome to the world baby Blaise, born on his due date- one week after this shower.  He and baby Howe should be about 6-7 weeks apart- hopefully they will be fast friends, just like their Mama's.  Congrats Macare, Dusty and Quinn....we can't wait to meet Blaise!

What a wonderful group of friends! 

 We were also blessed to have so many babies join in on the party, as well as many of the mom's of my dear friends (most of whom are like 2nd mothers to me from growing up), and some of my mother's dear friends too.  It was such a great group.  

There was no shortage of pregnant girls at this shower :)
