Happy Anniversary to us, a bit late. Mike and I were on Mackinac Island for our anniversary, and then in Canada in the North Channel for the next week. When we returned to Ann Arbor, we celebrate 1 year in style. Thanks to Steve Howe and good family friend Joe Leach, we have 2 bottles of Dom Perignon as gifts from our wedding! We had one bottle (yum) with the year old carrot cake topper from our wedding :) Fun Fun....

Labor Day on Elk Lake

My parents and Christine, Todd, Avery and I headed over to Skegemog Lake from Elk Lake to make the trip down the Torch river on my grandma's boat. What a beautiful day! I wish I had my mom's pics, she has some great group shots...

The North Channel

Our trip to the North Channel August 24-30th, was amazing. I don't know how else to describe it... beautiful scenery, great family time, and lots of relaxation. Enjoy some beautiful pics.

Sadly, we dropped off Christine and Todd in Little Current, as they had to head back to TC. Mike and I as well as my parents headed to Killarney next. Here is the whitefish stop :) Yummy!

We saw a black BEAR!!

Mike caught a 28 inch Pike in Collins Inlet, and between my parents and Mike and I, we cought 17 pike and 1 perch that day (but this is the only one we kept to eat). Who knew pike was good to eat??

Our last day was a bit stormy...

But it was the only time it rained, so we made the best of it. We headed back to Little Current, and went to the Anchor Inn to play pool for our last night. With all the rain and wind that night, we were glad to be in port.

Thank you Mom and Dad. We love you and hope to be able to join you on your annual trip sometime!! It was a trip of a lifetime!
