Jackson- 8 months old

Age 8 months
Weight & Length  18 lbs and 8 oz with clothes on at his last doctor’s visit- all other weights have been without clothes
Clothing size   6-12 months
Hair More blonde hair by the day!
Teeth  FOUR! His top two front teeth started breaking through just before 8 months and continue to work their way into Jackson’s mouth slowly but surely.
Sleeping  Jackson sleeps from 7:00-8:00 pm until around 6:00-6:45 am. He has still been waking up at least once to eat.
Eating  Jackson continues to enjoy purees; he loves mangos but is also doing a great job with combos like carrot-apple-sweet potato and brown rice-banana-cinnamon.  He also likes baby mum mum teathing crackers. He hasn’t been too exited about trying puffs yet, but we continue to try.
Movement  The baby gates are up- we have a scooter and a spinner. Still no crawling, but he looks like he is getting close.  He easily turns himself in circles from a seated position and loves standing up (with support). He seems frustrated that he can’t crawl, and I am guessing he will start crawling before we know it.
Milestones  Jackson was baptized this month.  It was a wonderful celebration!  He also survived an 11 mile training run with mom and dad in the BOB stroller at Kensington Metropark- he was a perfect angel.
Favorite toys/activities  He love his new green textured ball and cups that were gifts for his baptism. He also continues to love his learning farm, and we are learning all the songs it plays by heart! He also loves the new swing that Daddy hung from our big maple tree in the back yard!
Dislikes  Do we sound like a broken record- we would love it if he would just start sleeping all night on his own, and that we don’t have to resort to letting him cry it out.
Words & sounds Jackson loves to talk!  His newest babbles include goo goo and gaa gaa!
What we love   Hearing Jackson talk and sing and seeing the smiles on his face greeting us when we wake up every morning.
What we don’t love  Ear infections and croup!
What we’re looking forward to next month Crawling and spending more time exploring outside with Jackson now that the weather is nice.
